Happy Long Weekend!

I hope everyone is playing outside and enjoying the great weather, instead of sitting at home staring at their computer screen.

Here's a fun thing for paddlers of all skill levels to try - it is called "Survivor Slalom." Scary name, but really it is a fun and casual introduction to slalom paddling on a really friendly (read: slow) piece of water, right in Calgary. And, it is FREE!

The event is on Thursday, May 28th. The clinic starts at 5 PM and the "race" at 6:30 PM Don't worry if you show up late; they want you there trying out slalom, having fun with your friends and honing your paddling skills!

The event is on a quiet channel of the Bow River near Deerfoot Meadows, the mega-mall with Ikea in it. A map and directions are available at the website, www.kayakevent.ca.

Registration
Register online to be automatically entered into the Survivor Slalom event scoring system...which will allow us to have the results uploaded quicker! Better yet, online registrants will have their name entered for draw prizes.

Participant Ability Level - novice to advanced
Venue Type - grade 1, slightly moving water, beginner friendly, challenging for advanced
