Fluid Designs Throwbag is back! The Profile Throwbag from Fluid Designs has been out of production for a few years, but now it is back! And, it is at Undercurrents! We are so excited about this throwbag! Canadian designed and manufactured - it is simply the best bag out there! And now, even a few improvements have been made in the new design. Instead of building another bag to hold rope like all the rest, Fluid Designs designed a system for throwing rope (easily, far and accurately), and then re-stuffing it.

Collar
The collar is the first thing you notice about this bag and is the natural place to hold when throwing it. The collar's integrated stiffener gives you a secure grip, even with cold or gloved hands. The extra length provided by the collar creates a whiplash effect when throwing, meaning you can throw this bag further without any extra effort. When you are done being the hero, the extension conical collar makes it fast and easy to re-stuff. The collar folds away when not in use so there is nothing on the bag to snag!
Double Grommets
The two brass grommets in the bottom prevent "knot blow-out." Plus, the grommet hole goes through the polyester fabric and the foam which is laminated to it, creating a very strong reinforcement. It is more expensive to build a throwbag this way, but the quality, security and product longevity are worth it.
Attachment Points
In the new version, there is a low-profile webbing loop for attaching your bag to your boat with a carabineer. It won't jam under your bungee when attached to your canoe's deck like bags with a side-release buckle. The webbing loops on the back fit industry-standard waist belts, so you can carry it anyway and anywhere you want!

Laminated foam The body is foam-lined to hold its shape. That means longer throws with the same effort, it'll skip across the water if your throw is a little short and it makes re-stuffing a snap! The foam also helps the bag float higher in the water. Body Material The body is made of 600-denier polyurethane coated polyester weave. It has excellent UV resistance, excellent abrasion resistance and a very nice hand - it will look great for years! "Profile" shape The thin rectangular bag shape easily flies through the air, giving you a longer throw with the same effort. Most people can throw out the entire 80 feet without difficulty! The Rope Ya, it has rope. Otherwise it wouldn't be a throwbag, would it? The Profile is available with either 80 feet of MFP (poly) rope, or 80 feet of static spectra rope.
