Tony Palmer
If
you are Tao Berman, you run for the state legislature!?!
Berman
set the world record for the highest waterfall ever paddled when he
intentionally dropped over the 98. foot Upper Johnson Canyon Falls in
Banff, Alberta back in 1999. Since then he has been a 'force to be
reckoned with' in extreme kayak races and even whitewater rodeo
events. He has well over 50 first descents and is one of a very few
"Professional Kayakers" that actually makes a good living! (Which
reminds me, how do you get a "professional kayaker" off your
front stoop? Pay him for the pizza!)
Berman
wants to be remembered for more than just kayaking, so he is running
for the Washington State Legislature in the Olympia area. Below is
his campaign speech on YouTube.
He
seems to be very serious about it. Who would have guessed?
